A Plant The "War of Drugs" is being expanded to a "War on Speech"! - The "Methamphetamine Anti-Proliferation Act" would make it a crime to talk about producing drugs, or provide any information for any other "activity that constitutes a Federal crime." This can include anything from publishing a "growing guide" or distributing information on sterilizing needles!
And, as an added bonus, this bill will give police the ability to search your house and confiscate items without your knowledge! This means that the feds could walk into your house, download all the files on your computer (and any other items deemed "intangible"), and, since they don't have to inform you of their activities, you would be completely unable to stop it!
UPDATE - More than 10,000 letters were to Congress concerning the "Methamphetamine Anti-Proliferation Act" (H.R. 2987), and the House of Representatives responded by removing its most troubling civil liberties proposals, including both a secret "black bag" searches provision and an Internet censorship measure! But the battle isn't over ... they are trying to sneak these exact same laws by the public in a new Bankruptcy Bill
