Shemhamforash!

For all of those that loved the Shatner Rocks page, I am proud to bring you the works of another would-be celebrity musician... Anton Szandor LaVey! But, unlike ol' Willy, Anton actually does posses a few grams of talent. (He does know how to play the keyboard at least...)

My personal favorites are the purely instrumental tracks (#1 & #18). However, if you really want to see Anton LaVey at his 'evilest', listen to track #12, Honolulu Baby. I feel myself inexplicably drawn to this tune despite my better judgment.

So, sit back and enjoy the fine musical talent of one of the most evil men to live this century. (...running a close 3rd behind Bill Clinton and Robert Shapiro).

The following songs and descriptions were taken from Anton LaVey's album, "Satan Takes a Holiday". All songs are performed by Anton LaVey.

Satan Takes A Holiday  (1:54) - Black metal groups have nothing on popular American tunes when it comes to Satanic references. This song, written in 1937 by bandleader Larry Clinton, sympathetically portrays Satan as a jivin' guy in need of a well deserved vacation.  This Hammond Novacord arrangement inspired by Milt Herith, provided an indelible stamp which led the song to be a staple as background music for thousands of magic acts and midnight spook shows.
Satanis Theme  (3:15) - This dirge was composed by Anton LeVey for the 1968 film, Satanis, and can be heard during the opening ritual sequence.  Allow the final strains of the pipe organ to fully posses you before your holiday comes to an end and you must return once again to the cold and shallow world above.

Good News! I hae recently been informed that Repillian Records has just re-released this album, plus has re-released Anton LaVey's original recording of the Black Mass. You can find these and several other Satanic re-releases under their sub-label, Adversary Recordings.

And BTW… I actually have permission from incredibly cool administration of Reptilian Records to offer these songs for download. I think this makes me the only person in the world that obtained permission to offer MP3s without compensation!

So, please visit their website and check out the rest of their LaVey collection.
